No Poo Update

I spent the end of 2014 and most of 2015 experimenting with not using shampoo on my hair. I would  use baking soda and apple cider vinegar. After awhile, my hair adjusted and it looked fuller and it felt better. After about 6 weeks,  my hair and scalp had adjusted and my hair looked and felt like real hair! Then at the end of the summer, I was in the desert for  2 weeks and felt I had to shampoo the buildup of dust out of my hair. I used a SLS free shampoo but my hair did not feel anything like it did when I was not shampooing. It felt like it was stripped of everything. I did not like it at all. I have recently been introduced to a product that I am stoked on bringing into the shop and sharing with my clients. 

to poo or not to poo?

I believe that the dirtier the hair, the better. For me, a fresh blow out is at it's best on the 2nd day. A serious concern I have with shampooing is that there a million different types of shampoo's out there yet, all of them strip the hair and most of them are full of ingredients that are harmful to our bodies. I have noticed more and more women, myself included are thinning, more so than say, 15 years ago. Have you taken a look at what is in your shampoo bottle? Do you know what those ingredients are and where they came from? I invite you to take a wee look and ask yourself, " do I want to be applying these toxins to my hair and body?"

Wedding in a TreeHouse

 I got married on June 8, 2013 on Governor's Island at the FIGMENT participatory art project. It was outtagalactically spectacular..
An incredible hoola hoop performance called All is Love was dedicated to us by Bex Burton and Sense of Motion.

The vows were exchanged up in Benjamin Jones' TreeHouse,

and the rings were delivered on Houdini's knife by the Reverend Doctor David Adamovich aka Throwdini! So cool!!
