pass the kindness around

Please be kind to each other, it's important. Smile at someone, be daring and walk with out headphones, put your phone away and look up. Connect with someone in front of you, not on your device. Interact with people you don't know, you may make a new friend or you may make someones shitty day better by just smiling at them. Try not to get caught up in the hate and vitriol. Look out for each other. Find the good. Be thankful. Much love.

Hotter than H E DOUBLE TOOTHPICKS!

It's August and it is hot and humid outside! It feels like a soup dumpling...

Make sure you are staying hydrated and drink lots of water..

Wear a hat to protect your hair, the sun is strong and she will zap the %#&@! out of your tresses.

Applying Hairstory's Hair Balm while hair is damp, will help nourish and love the hair from inside out. Hair Balm is seriously The Balm!  It can be layered onto the hair sans a heavy, waxy, build up product feeling.. Your hair will love it, especially after cleaning with New Wash, the revolutionary way to cleanse your hair...

NO DETERGENT'S!! NO BS!!   LESS PACKAGING!! DITCH YOUR SHAMPOOS AND CONDITIONERS THEY ARE DOING YOU, YOUR WALLET, THE ENVIRONMENT  NO FAVOURS!!!!!  not to mention the amount of space they take up in your shower..

don't believe the product hype, there is no need for how many shampoos and conditioners there are out there, they are all doing the same thing: jacking up your hair by stripping it.. not cool.

No Poo Update

I spent the end of 2014 and most of 2015 experimenting with not using shampoo on my hair. I would  use baking soda and apple cider vinegar. After awhile, my hair adjusted and it looked fuller and it felt better. After about 6 weeks,  my hair and scalp had adjusted and my hair looked and felt like real hair! Then at the end of the summer, I was in the desert for  2 weeks and felt I had to shampoo the buildup of dust out of my hair. I used a SLS free shampoo but my hair did not feel anything like it did when I was not shampooing. It felt like it was stripped of everything. I did not like it at all. I have recently been introduced to a product that I am stoked on bringing into the shop and sharing with my clients.
